Do you really think Christians will be persecuted here in the United States?

World wide more Christians are being killed for their faith than ever before. Every day in many countries Christian are being hunted down and killed, tortured and imprisoned for nothing more than they are Christians. So far in this country it has been more subdued. Fifty years ago those who were considered Christians were looked up to and respected for their beliefs and lifestyle. Today we see a constant attack against Christian values and the concentrated effort to remove any and all references that historically link Christianity and the founding of this country. Christians are called bigots and hatemongers for simply stating what the Word of God, the Bible has taught for thousands of years. We are living in the last days when evil will become more prevalent. Now is the time to let the light of Jesus Christ shine in and through us who are believers. People need to accept God's love and forgiveness to experience the peace He has to offer.

How can a person know for sure which church, which religion is right in order to make it to heaven

There are at least 20 major religious groups in the world and right here in this community there are more than 20 different churches. Almost every religion will acknowledge that Jesus Christ lived, that he was a good teacher or even a prophet. All of that is true but listen to what Jesus Himself has to say about how to get to heaven. “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” John 14:6. The only sure way to heaven is through accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. If a religion or a church adds to or takes away from Jesus being the only way then they are in error.

It seems like our Pastor is constantly pushing us to invite people to church. Why can’t he just be satisfied to preach to those who are already here?

Perhaps your Pastor is taking what we call the Great Commission given by Jesus seriously when He said, “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you”. There is over 80,000 unchurched people in Eaton County. Unless the church is reminded and encouraged to go share the gospel, invite to church and make disciples most of those unchurched people will never come to know Jesus as their Lord. To be satisfied is like saying let someone else do it. We are not going to do what Jesus told us to do.
