For several decades there has been a group of pastors from various churches who coordinated the yearly Community Thanksgiving and Good Friday services. In the last few years these pastors have intensified their efforts by meeting every week to pray together and make plans on how to unite the body of Christ in this community so that together we can also reach those who are not yet believers. Our efforts have paid off as we have seen record breaking crowds at our last two Community Services. Due to the record crowds this year's Community Good Friday service will be held at the Lawrence Av. United Methodist Church on March 25th. To have a pastor from the area become a part of the Charlotte Area Evangelical Churches is very easy. They simply have to agree on a very basic statement of faith such as the Bible is the infallible word of God, the Trinity-God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit and salvation comes only by and through faith in Jesus Christ to name a few. Let's pray and believe God for revival in this community.
